I LOVE YOU No.3 Baby Feeding and Proud New Parent

[caption id="attachment_925" align="aligncenter" width="540"]I LOVE YOU delivered onto the pavement outside of the OBH Cottesloe 10th Feb 2013- Found by Matthew on the 11th Feb the following morning on the windscreen of his car. I LOVE YOU:  Baby Feeding was delivered onto the pavement outside of the OBH, Cottesloe  on 10th Feb 2013- It was found by Matthew on the 11th Feb the following morning on the windscreen of his car.[/caption]

That morning I received an email...from Matthew.

As fate would have it one of your paintings (Feeding baby) was left on my car windscreen at Cottesloe this morning - what a pleasant way to start the day!

Although............ I can’t believe you would leave one of your “children” to the mercy of fate – anyway he/she has found a safe place to live!!

I responded to this heartfelt statement...

THANK YOU for responding so positively to your randomly received gift.
Yes..... I understand your fear for my 'children'... but I feel that my babies have grown up and they are ready to go out alone. I have faith in the fact that they will all find their own way into the hearts of the right people. I seem to be right...am I not?
:-)

Great adoption photo!

Email reply...

I thought I might share a bit more of a story regards your painting left on my car “with love”.

On Sundays  I have a little routine which sees me having breakfast at Barchetta’s (Cottesloe) , as part of my weekly motorcycle ride.

On the day in question I decided to take my car as it was going to be too hot for riding the bike.

My point being that it was quite significant that I received the painting at all. If I was on the bike I would have been parked in a different spot, and in any event,  it would be unlikely that the painting would have been left on the motorcycle.

One wonders at the significance of the sequence of events which led to me being the recipient of the painting.

Mmmmmmm....I wonder too...

Matthew is now doing  painting workshops with me in May...and I look forward to meeting and working with him...

I wonder which painting will surface next???? I can't wait...

I LOVE YOU No.1 Golden Cross

[caption id="attachment_921" align="aligncenter" width="539"]This golden cross was placed outside the laundromat in South Terrace in South Fremantle. 4 Days later I recieved a phone call from a guy called David to say could he really take me home. I was confused but I then found out that he had not found the painting with the blue heart. Only the blue heart with the information on it. No painting. I LOVE YOU - NO. 2 Huggs for the 'Sign'

IMG_0515

This is a very special story that came from dropping off a painting on the foreshore at Mends St in South Perth 27th January 2013.

I received this email from Jo, one day after I placed it on the footpath, near a ticket dispensing machine...

'

Huggs for the 'Sign'

I want to say Thank You for the sign!  I believe in Signs of the spiritual kind and perhaps this is one.

You don’t know me…but I walk around the River most mornings around 5am with a girl friend and her dog.

We are forever picking up some of the rubbish which is left behind on our beautiful foreshore as we walk along.

This morning to my surprise I picked up a sign with ‘I Love You’ on it and my friend said how appropriate it was that I had found this piece.

It was near the children’s playground South Perth Jetty lying close to a bin.

I brought it back to work with me this morning, when I had my glasses on and I could see your contact details.

I wanted to let you know that your piece was a lovely sign and has gone to a good home.

I also was interested in your website and checked it out.

I would like to talk to you about joining my Mom in your art classes.

She is nearly ‘75’ years young and has always loved art and crafts and is a very creative lady.

But all her creativity and joy were silenced when her beautiful daughter / my sister was murdered 17 years ago.

I thought perhaps your classes may encourage her passion again and bring back that light in her eyes.

Anyway would love to hear from you when you have time.

Stay happy healthy and safe.

Huggs

How cool is this picture...and story... :-)  My painting which is a preliminary sketch of a water crystal, for a large painting called 'Gratitude'  has found a very loving home, hanging with many other beautiful messages of love and gratitude...THANK YOU JO ....

Who will be the next wonderful person to rescue and adopt one of my 'babies'... will it be you?

I LOVE YOU

During the past several years, I have been traveling and moving house quite a bit. In each move, I have been letting go of the things that I have out-grown, but somehow  the paintings that I have done over the years have accumulated, some I have sold and others have stayed with me or been stored in boxes in garages all over Perth. I took them to market and some went to fine homes. The others are now wanting to find someone who will love them and put them out for the world to see instead of sitting in a dark box in a dusty garage.

The little boy in the movie "Pay it Forward" inspired me to do something that would be of pleasure for others, so, that's when I decided to share my paintings with the world. On the back of each painting I placed a photocopy of a blue heart

that said "I  LOVE YOU"

If you love me...

Then take me home,

I'm yours for free,

And if you don't,

Leave me for someone who will...

My mum's home is

www.xtraordinar.com.au.

Each painting is randomly placed out on a footpath anywhere I go.

All I have asked in return is a photo of my "child" in its new environment...

with its new owner or not...and permission to share it on my website and Facebook...
